Our school Principal is involved in educational leadership and the overall management of all school staff as well as contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment and learning culture.
In collaboration with the Principal and members of the leadership team, the Deputy Principals provides educational leadership in curriculum and student engagement in the school and the community.
Our MCS works closely with the leadership team to establish and be responsible for the financial, physical and human resource processes of the school.
The School Psychologist helps the school meet the social, emotional, learning and behaviour needs of students, working closely with the school administration, teachers, therapists, students and parents. The School Psychologist works in several different areas including consultation on behaviour management, implementing health and wellbeing programs and student engagement. The school psychologist does not, as a general rule, conduct 1:1 therapy sessions.
The role of the Workplace Learning Support Officer is to contact companies to join and the Workplace Learning program, complete relevant paperwork and monitor and assess students in the workplace.
At Dianella SC ESC we have a Model for Therapy that outlines our collaborative approach to working alongside our families, students, teachers, and therapy service providers. The Therapy Coordinator liaises with teachers, therapists, families and government agencies, and other stakeholders to co-ordinate therapy plans and appointments and support application of the specialised equipment to meet the needs for all our students.
An AEIO is employed by our school to provide support and guide our teachers, staff and students with Aboriginal culture. They also support our Aboriginal students with education in the classroom.
The Student Wellbeing Officer supports the emotional wellbeing of students. They aim to build the confidence and resillience of children and young people so that they can remain engaged and connected to school, fulfil their potential, and become active members of their communities. They form a part of the wellbeing framework for schools, supporting schools to create learning environments that enable students to be happy, healthy, engaged, and successful.
