As part of the Bushrangers Program at Dianella Secondary College ESC, 12 selected students had the opportunity to attend a camp in Coral Bay, Western Australia!
The students were fortunate to learn about marine life and conservation through an insightful talk by a marine biologist. As part of learning about the marine ecosystems, each day was filled with snorkelling at Ningaloo Reef
The days of snorkelling lead to many exciting sightings of various marine animals, such as clams, fishes, sea turtles, and manta rays. The students also enjoyed a friendly competition of building sea creatures out of sand!
We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for Health and Mental Health and MLA for Morley, Honourable Amber-Jade Sanderson for providing a $15,000 Lotterywest grant that made the camp possible for our Bushranger Program and provided immersive and memorable experiences for our students. Our appreciation also extends to the staff and teachers who were a vital part of organising the camp and ensuring the safety of our students
